About kennel Rindum…
Rindum is an old-Nordic word for "heights" or "hills", and is
also the name of a small town in the west of Jutland in
Denmark.
Kennel Rindum is owned by Rune Larsen. I am an educated
teacher and psycho-therapist and working as a project-manager.
I am living together with Susanne and Andy (12 years) and Mie
(11 years), in a farmhouse near the town Lemvig. |

27 years with German Shepard’s
Liss and Erik Roegen started kennel Rindum in 1977. The
breeding of GSD´s took a big step forward when they bought
the bitch "Bianka". Bianka is still living in several
important bloodlines. Most importantly she became the
grandmother of the bitch Rindums Esta. Esta was a
beautiful bitch in her days, and was the mother of many
successful animals. Esta is still living in the pedigree
of numerous kennels in Denmark. A real peak was the
excellent K-litter with to VA-dogs (Denmark):VA Rindums
Kazan, VA Rindums Kian and V1 Rindums Kizzy.
At one time two of the kennels bloodlines where crossed,
and the result were the bitch Rindums Indra. Indra was a
somewhat bright, but very hard and tempered bitch - who
today lives in the pedigree of most of our bitches.
In 1989 we started our cooperation - and a long and warm
friendship - with Liss and Erik, when we bought the bitch
Rindums Nicol. After working together in breeding 3
litters, we were signed over the name: Rindums in 1994. |

We want:

To breed and educate physically and
psychically healthy and vital GSD´s, in close contact
with people, so that Rindum-dogs later will bring
their owners joy and pleasure.

That you, as the owner of a Rindum
dog, will get a dog with character and nerve, as a
loyal friend of the family.

To breed dogs with qualities, suitable
to solve a variety of different tasks like:
Family-dogs, rescue-dogs, and working dogs for police
and army.

The goals are:
-
In the breeding always to make
responsible combinations on the so called "Hoch-zucht"-
lines in accordance with the GSD standard – and
thereby always prioritise character over purely
anatomic qualities.

To follow the highest ethical
standards in regard to breeding, dog-hold and
training-methods - and only use breeding dogs that
live up to the guidelines of: Dansk Kennel Klub,
Schæferhundeklubben for Danmark and Verein für
Deutsche Schäferhunde (SV).
-
To build up a long-term
breeding-cooperation with dog-friends from DK and
abroad.

Strategy:

Hobby breeding based on love to our
GSD´s.

To keep our breed on a level where it
stays a funny and exiting hobby.

Work for dissemination of the
knowledge of the GSD.

To show respect and responsibility in
working with dogs.

To develop our cooperation with
dog-friends and breeders from DK and abroad.
-
To nurture friendship and
sportsmanship in every connection we practise our
hobby.
-
To strengthen - and cooperate with –
those people in "Schæferhunde- klubben for Denmark"
that represents the moral and ethic values, that
serves our club and the GSD.
